The Human CD1 Lipidomic Database

placeholder: Welcome to the Human CD1 Lipidomic Database. This resource contains information about the lipid repertoire of human CD1 molecules, as defined by Mass Spectrometry and X-ray Crystallography.

CD1 molecules are part of the MHC Class I family, but bind lipid antigens to present to T-cells, rather than the classical peptidic antigen. There are four main isotypes of CD1, each with a different binding repertoire and tissue distribution.

Browse by lipid class

placeholder: When referring to a "specific class of lipids," we denote a distinct subset within the broader lipid category, characterized by shared structural or functional attributes. Lipids, diverse in their molecular constructions, are grouped into classes based on similarities in their foundational skeletons and functional groups. Within each class are individual species which share molecular formula and weight.
